Venue description
Borgo San Felice is a 5-star hotel located on a hill and surrounded by 140 hectares of vineyards with outstanding views, charming squares, narrow streets and a Romanesque chapel. Borgo San Felice is one of the most attractive locations in Chianti Classico.
Borgo San Felice was built in the 8th century and has almost not changed since then. In the nineties it was tuned into a 5-star hotel, offering the most modern comforts. Careful refurbishing has improved the architectural characters of the medieval buildings, stone homes, picturesque streets and chapel, maintaining integral its rural mark that perfectly suits the authenticity of the territory. Weddings are allowed if the group books the entire Borgo.
Wedding ceremonies
Catholic weddings can be celebrated in the Church Pieve di San Felice that could host up to 90 people seated inside and 30 seated outside the church.
Symbolic ceremonies can take place in the Piazza of the Borgo, in front of the non consecrated Chapel or under the Pergolato.
Wedding banquets
The charming Borgo offers different solutions for the different moments of the wedding banquet: the aperitif can be served in the Roses Garden (up to 120 guests), dinner can take place at the restaurant (up to 80 guests indoors and 60 outdoors). For groups of more than 100 guests it is recommended to hire a marquee to be placed in one of the outdoor areas of the Borgo.
Wedding banquets can also take place outdoors on the main Piazza followed by dancing in the court out of the restaurant and by the pool.
A Rustic dinner can be organized under the Pergolato while brunch is perfect by the pool side.
Cuisine
The excellent cuisine of the resident chef respects the local traditions and will please the tastes of every guest. There are two restaurants, the classic Il Poggio Rosso and the rustic L'Osteria del Grigio.
Il Poggio Rosso
The fine dining restaurant “Il Poggio Rosso” features regional cuisine accompanied by exceptional Italian wines, offering emotions rooted in the authentic Chianti region. Dress code: formal wear.
L’Osteria del Grigio
Here, guests can taste the renowned Tuscan meats cooked on the barbecue, traditional soups, fresh salads and other dishes typical of the Tuscan tradition while sipping a glass of the great Chianti Classico wine. L’Osteria del Grigio, with its rustic ambience and the open air terrace, is the perfect place where to enjoy the wonders of the Chianti countryside. Dress code: casual wear.
Music Entertainment
Any type of music entertainment allowed, no time restrictions thanks to the exclusivity of the Borgo.
Accommodation
The Borgo offers 54 luxury rooms for a maximum capacity of 129 guests. They have 11 Standard rooms, 15 Deluxe rooms, 8 Premium Deluxe rooms, 2 Junior Suites, 5 Premium Junior Suites, 3 Suites, 8 Premium Suites, 1 Suite Loggia and 1 Suite Legnaia. There is also a cottage called Villa Casanova with 3 independent apartments suitable to families, with 4, 3 and 2 double rooms, located at a couple of minutes’ drive from the Borgo.
A minimum stay of 2 nights is required to guarantee the exclusive use of the Borgo.
